Ultimate Guide to Permanent Makeup Aftercare

General Aftercare (Applies to All Procedures)
For the first 7 days, your priority is to keep the treated area clean, protected, and consistently moisturized with Aquaphor—a trusted healing ointment recommended by leading tattoo artists worldwide. It’s available at any drugstore in the lotion section.
Keep the area moist—never let it dry out or scab. Apply a generous layer of Aquaphor regularly.
Light weeping is normal during the first 1–2 days. Gently wipe with a cold, damp cotton pad and reapply Aquaphor.
Avoid heavy sweating or intense exercise (including hot yoga) for 4 days.
No saltwater or chlorinated pools for 7 days.
Be cautious in the shower—no direct water, cleansers, or hair products on the treated area. Use a cloth or sponge to wash around it.
Avoid makeup and skincare products near the treated area for 7 days.
Eyebrow Aftercare
If you sleep on your face or side, apply a thick layer of Aquaphor, cover with plastic wrap, and secure with first aid tape for the first 3 nights.
Hydrate your brows—apply Aquaphor at least 10 times daily to prevent dryness.
Touch-ups cannot be performed sooner than 2 weeks post-procedure.
Lip Aftercare
Use a straw for all drinks (except plain water) for 7 days.
Avoid kissing, licking, or biting your lips for at least 1 week.
Apply Aquaphor every 30 minutes, and before and after eating. Apply extra before bed.
A&D ointment may also be used to condition lips and discourage licking.
If prone to cold sores, take Valtrex or a similar antiviral as prescribed.
Lip touch-ups may be scheduled no sooner than 3 weeks post-procedure.
Eyeliner Aftercare
Reduce swelling with ice packs or frozen peas in a ziplock bag. Ice for 10–15 minutes, rest for 20, and repeat as needed.
No eye makeup or mascara for 7 days.
No lash extensions for 2 weeks.
When resuming mascara, use a new, unopened tube to avoid contamination.
Apply Aquaphor at least 7 times daily for 7 days.

Eyebrow Healing Stages
Clients who follow aftercare instructions closely can expect the following healing stages:
Stage 1: Immediate Post-Procedure
Brows appear darker and sharper than expected. Swelling may cause temporary asymmetry or thickness.
Stage 2: 24–48 Hours
Brows may look 1–2 shades darker due to pigment surfacing and oxidation.
Stage 3: Days 5–6
Light exfoliation may occur. No scabbing should be present. Shape may appear off—this will normalize.
Stage 4: Days 7–14
Pigment appears lighter due to new skin cell regeneration. Around day 9–14, pigment begins to bloom as skin becomes transparent again.
Stage 5: Weeks 3–4
True healed results are visible. Most clients won’t need additional applications until their annual touch-up. Optional tweaks available for $99 if needed within 3–4 weeks.
After day 7, switch from Aquaphor to daily SPF 50.Schedule touch-ups online at www.vegas3deyebrows.com—appointments are limited. Touch-ups are not free unless pre-purchased. If you didn’t buy a touch-up package, it cannot be redeemed retroactively.
